I can't tell you how privileged my husband, Phil, and I were to have met you and listen to your personal story of survival. Our son, Aaron, is Carly's boyfriend, who you met Tuesday night as well. Carly was nice enough to extend an invitation to Phil and I to hear your talk even though the intended audience was UT Chabad students.
You are a survivor in the true sense of the word and your message to the young Jewish adults at Chabad was so compelling. I hope they take your words to heart and truly do stand up for their rights, be proud of who they are and always remember the history of their people. Thank you for sharing your personal life experience. What a wonderful family has resulted from you and your husband's love and perseverance. From generation to generation, L'dor V'dor.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your inspiring story with all of us on Tuesday night. Your message will stick with my wife and I our whole life so that we are able to share it with the next generation. I couldn't agree more with your advice to never give up and to remember where you came from. It was a privilege to hear you speak and answer questions. Thanks again for setting an example for all of us to follow.

Before your talk at Chabad, I had been feeling kind of lackluster and uninspired in my life and work. Your stories, strength, and honesty spoke to my soul and deeply inspired me. I am so thankful to you for this! I will never look at a forest the same way again, and I will remember you as long as I live. I will make sure my nephew and any children I may have someday know about the Defiance Jews.
