Welcome to the Jewish Longhorns Blog: All Things Chabad

As students begin packing up and heading to the Universtiy of Texas for the start of school, there is one place on campus that has been busily preparing for their arrival. Chabad at UT is a place where so many Jewish Longhorns have found a home away from home.  Whether it's Shabbat dinner on Friday night, holiday celebrations, Pizza and Parsha, or just spending time with the friends, there is always something to do at Chabad.

At the University of Texas, Chabad has become a place where students from all Jewish backgrounds can fit in. No matter where you come from, Rabbi Zev and his family make each and every student feel welcome. This past week a few students along with the Rabbi were tabling at the Unversity Towers in order to welcome students and let them know what Chabad has to offer.

Tonight begins the first Shabbat of the 2012-2013 school year, so please head over for services at 7:30 and a delicious home cooked meal immediately after.  I hope to see you at Move in Shabbat at Chabad!
